The patients of Noe Valley Pediatrics have several options for urgent or after-hours care:
- For emergencies, please call 911.
- During office hours, please take advantage of the free telephone advice from our specially-trained in-house nurses by calling them at (415) 641-1019. There is currently no charge for this service. The nurses can help you decide if something warrants an appointment, a trip to the ER or can wait until we open the next day.
- During office hours, we reserve a number of short telemedicine and in-person slots for urgent care visits with our providers. Please call our office to book a same-day appointment.
- After hours, you can call the Anytime Telecare Advice Line at (480) 856-8991. Please note that there will be a $35 charge billed to your insurance for the call.
- If your child needs urgent care outside of our regular office hours and you’d like to see a doctor, please visit one of the following two options:

Weeknight pediatricians at the urgent care clinics are made up of participating private pediatricians. Weekend doctors are fully-trained and board-certified pediatricians who are not yet established in a private practice.
Reports of any telephone advice and/or after hours visits from either urgent care clinic will be faxed to our office for review.
If you’ve tried the options above and you still need to speak with a Noe Valley Pediatrics’ doctor directly, you can call our answering service at (415) 753-4697 to have the on-call doctor paged.
For non-urgent requests, please leave a message on our voicemail system at (415) 641-1019 to schedule an appointment, cancel an appointment or leave a message to be answered during the next business day.
Regarding prescription refills, please request any refills from your pharmacy during our clinic’s regular business hours. Also, the after hours clinics will not okay refills. Finally, any new prescriptions will require an office visit.
